You can prepare for transfer to a four-year school, continue your education beyond an associate degree with a Bachelor of Applied Science in International Business degree, in Early Childhood Education or in Application Development, or train for a career, complete high school as an adult, take college classes while still enrolled in high school, enhance workplace skills or retrain, or simply take classes to enrich your life. Seniors, veterans and current members of the military, international students, and non-native speakers seeking stronger English language skills are all accommodated in our programs.

From Accounting for Small Business to Zumba, the Continuing Education program at North Seattle ����ֱ������ provides a wide array of non-credit classes for everyone in the community with a desire to learn and have fun. Geared toward lifelong learners, our reasonably priced, quality courses are led by instructors who teach their passion and profession. You’ll find our personal enrichment and professional development courses conveniently offered on both weekdays and weekends, daytime and evenings, and one-time workshops or multiple-sessions.

Our dynamic team serves the college community by providing training, research, and flexible support services. Through creative problem solving, collaboration, and reflection we provide an environment for growth in teaching and learning in an effort to best support our students, faculty and staff.  

North’s eLearning Support Center provides support and information to distance learners as well as on-campus students in hybrid and web-enhanced classes. Academic divisions offer many credit courses and curricula through several non-traditional delivery modes, including fully online and hybrid learning. 

These delivery modes bring new learning options and opportunities to students who have diverse learning styles, those who require flexibility in their schedules, and those who do not live within commuting distance. Students can earn an A.A. degree and/or receive specific certificates through fully online courses.

North Seattle ����ֱ������ (NSC) proudly offers both credit and non-credit elearning courses that require few (if any) on-campus visits. Online courses use computer technologies that translate traditional classroom instruction into learning in new and innovative ways. Classes are designed to provide close interaction with instructors when and where it best serves student needs.

eLearning classes utilize technology and cover the same material as on-campus classes. Most of North Seattle eLearning courses start at the beginning of the quarter and end at the same time as on-campus courses. Credits earned through online courses are transferable and appear on transcripts just like any other class.

We offer over 200 different fully online and hybrid elearning courses. You can complete your A.A. degree through convenient online classes. Each elearning class is designed by the instructor who is teaching it, and the "virtual classroom" closely blends with each instructor's own teaching style.

Grades & Records

Get up-to-date information on your enrollment and degree verifications at no charge with the Student Self-Service through the National Student Clearinghouse. Print enrollment verifications for health insurance or other organizations, view your enrollment history, and print Good Student Discount certificates to obtain discounts on auto insurance, etc. Use your SID and PIN to login.

Students have multiple options to begin and easily complete their pre-college studies at North Seattle ����ֱ������. Don’t let limited education or access to education be a barrier between you and your dreams.

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to ensuring you succeed and receive the resources that will help you along the way. And tuition for many programs is only $25 per quarter.

You can also take college-level classes and receive both high school and college credit at the same time. Funding for this is available through Ability to Benefit.

ABE/GED

If it’s time for you to get your high school diploma, complete your secondary school education or work on basic skills, NSC’s Adult Basic Education/General Education Development (ABE/GED) program is your resource. 

ESL

Whatever your background or current English language skills, NSC’s English as a Second Language (ESL) program will help you meet your goals.

As an international student, you can improve your English skills to prepare for college study in the United States or for entry into the business world through NSC’s (IEP). 

High School+

If you are an adult 21 years or older needing a high school diploma, there’s a new way to get one - through High School+.

High School Completion

���ǰ��ٳ�’s&�Բ�����;High School Completion program provides adults 19 years or older an opportunity to earn a high school diploma in a college setting.

 I-BEST

Get job training (Phlebotomy certificate or Nursing Assistant-Certified) using the I-BEST (Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training) model — one instructor in the classroom teaching the academic coursework and one to help you improve basic skills while you earn college credits.

Pre-college Math

If you have taken less than 3 years of math in high school or need a refresher before entering college-level mathematics, enroll in NSC’s pre-college Math.

International students should visit or for assistance.

You don’t have to wait until you graduate from high school to get the benefit of enrolling at North Seattle ����ֱ������.

Running Start
Through Running Start, you can earn high school and college credit at the same time, with low cost or free tuition. As a high school junior or senior at a public high school in Washington state, get started in college early and experience challenging courses in a supportive environment. Attend part time and blend high school and college courses. Attend full time and have the option of completing high school requirements more quickly and earning your associate degree at the same time. Choose a career training program and begin gaining skills to enter the workforce and earn money. Start college now through Running Start.

����ֱ������ in the High School
North Seattle ����ֱ������ also offers an alternative to Running Start through the ����ֱ������ in the High School (CHS) program, in which capable high school students take college-level courses while remaining at their high school. Credits appear on a North Seattle ����ֱ������ transcript as well as on the student’s high school transcript. CHS courses are taught by selected high school teachers whose qualifications match those of typical North faculty members.

Tech Prep
Explore —a way to earn college credits in high school for free. Tech Prep is a partnership between Seattle ����ֱ������s and local high school districts to ensure high school students have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school, as well as explore career choices.
